CLUB NOTES CONGRATULATIONS Club VP Michael Buffoni
on being crowned this year's BCLS Sportsman of the Year! The Annual Kids Fishing Deby is scheduled
for May 11 starting at 9am at Minkler's Pond on Tree Farm Road in Interlaken (just off Rt 183 by the old DeSisto School). Every member should take a kid fishing and this is the place to do it. ♦ The Annual Spring Fishing Derby on the Stockbridge
Bowl is SATURDAY, yes Saturday, May 18th and promptly starts at dawn and ends at 3pm sharp. Don't miss the weigh-in
by even one minute cause it could cost you a cool $100 for the heaviest fish in 4 categories. Get your tickets at Berkshire
Insurance Group on Main Street in Stockbridge. See the Events & Calendar page for details and an entry form. If you missed the Annual Game Dinner then the joke's on you. It was an outstanding event with
a great turnout of almost 250 hearty eaters. Click here to see an interesting perspective. You can chaulk up The 36th Annual Skip Whalen Echo Lake Derby as another one
for the record books. Plentiful sunshine and smiles highlighted the day that brought over 150 hearty ice fishers out to Echo
Lake!! Add to that the fact that everyone walked away with a prize and life-long memories of kids grinning from ear to ear.
Priceless. To think, back in '76 they said it would never happen. 36 Derbies later and it is still going strong now due to
the efforts of Mike Buffoni, Keith and Sue Whalen, Skip and Myra Whalen, Wayne Slosek, Dave Slosek, Peter DelGrande, Gary
Johnston, Tim Minkler, Marty Salvadore, Gail Guarda, Tom and Robin Race, Jeff and Deb St. John, Bob Cameron and others pitching
in to help. This too can't happen without the Town of Stockbridge allowing us to enjoy this beautiful body of water every
year. We hope to see you there next year! LEGISLATIVE ALERT: Governor
Patrick has introduced a bill entitled An Act To Strengthen and Enhance Firearms Laws in the Commonwealth, and
